Rockwell Automation announced its joint innovation on mobility with Microsoft

(Milwaukee, November 16, 2015). More and more industrial workers began to use mobile devices to improve productivity and collaboration. However, for the specific equipment used, especially the equipment used to design, operate and maintain industrial automation systems, various interfaces need to be customized. To meet the needs of users, Rockwell Automation and Microsoft Corp. announced the launch of a joint innovation project on mobility for industrial environments. At present, wireless network connection is not always reliable in industrial environment

joint innovation will introduce the leading IP technology of Microsoft Project thali (@thaliproject) team (including jxcore of nubisa Inc.), and will supplement Rockwell Automation's extended mobility infrastructure toolkit. With this toolkit, Rockwell Automation products can present a consistent web-based interface for specific devices such as tablets, smartphones, and desktops. In addition, the toolkit now includes an app prototype called project Stanton (@project_stanton). The two products using this product kit and the app prototype of the new 36 prestressed concrete steel wire will be exhibited at Rockwell Automation autom in Chicago on November 18 and 19, because its two large upstream chemical projects in the Gulf of Mexico and Saudi Arabia were fully completed and put into operation at the automation fair last year

referring to mobility and modern mobile first architecture, I think project Stanton represents the most cutting-edge and innovative thinking in this industry. Sujeet Chand, chief technology officer of Rockwell Automation, said that Microsoft, nubisa and Rockwell Automation have made huge investments in innovation, and used the computing power in mobile devices to break existing boundaries and restrictions, so as to achieve access to valuable information in enterprises at any time and anywhere, so as to create unprecedented value for industrial users

microsoft has established a partnership with Rockwell Automation to jointly address some of the most arduous challenges in the field of industrial IOT, said John shewch, a Microsoft technology academician and process UK of automation. Rockwell Automation is a leading enterprise in this field. It's great to cooperate with them on project Stanton. Our joint cooperation is crucial to establish the direction of thali project to achieve secure peer-to-peer communication and improve industrial productivity

the development of mobility can support the vision of Internet enterprises, that is, to integrate operations and information technology to achieve a new wave of productivity improvement. The rise of industrial IOT and the progress of supporting technologies (including mobility, data analysis and remote monitoring) will promote Internet enterprises to improve their connectivity and information sharing capabilities, thus creating various opportunities to help customers gain unprecedented advantages in productivity and global competitiveness

it is imperative for Internet enterprises to face the competitive challenges at many levels in the future, said Chand. This vision is not only crucial for coping with the continuous macroeconomic challenges, but also crucial for almost all manufacturers to seek new competitive advantages, but has begun to steadily promote mature mass production. Our joint innovation with Microsoft is also a way for customers to build Internet enterprises
