Rockwell Automation "green agenda" helps manufacturers build a comprehensive energy management approach
Rockwell Automation launched a white paper, which introduces a new approach for industrial energy management, enabling manufacturers to improve energy use strategically and holistically. The green agenda helps companies manage energy as a resource rather than simply managing the costs of business operations. It also provides advice on how to manage energy more efficiently through existing automation and information technology. The white paper on industrial energy optimization: managing energy consumption to achieve higher revenue describes the seven green agendas, which can easily realize the placement of large samples, and this white paper can now be downloaded for free on Rockwell Automation station:
faced with unstable energy prices, lack of resources and rising requirements of laws, regulations and statements, manufacturers looking to the future need an inside out approach to energy management. Sujeet Chand, chief technology officer of Rockwell Automation, explained that this new approach regards energy as the input of production, which is similar to raw materials, and can accurately track where and how it is used. Through the real-time management of this information, manufacturers can make requirements for material applicability and output because of higher profits and less environmental impact
this white paper describes each of the seven items that make up the green agenda, and explains how the procedures involved around these items help manufacturers save energy more efficiently and invest more strategically. These seven can be implemented by the manufacturer alone or at the same time, regardless of the stage of the existing energy management plan. These seven items include:
factory monitoring to understand the energy consumption at the factory level, so as to make better real-time equipment operation decisions
production monitoring to understand the energy consumption at the equipment level in the factory workshop in real time
list the energy consumption in the production raw material list and treat it as an input that can be managed
modeling, using simulation solutions, taking energy as a variable factor, so as to optimize the income
control, In order to optimize the production process configuration with energy variables
response, respond to external market factors, so as to optimize production according to real-time supply
score, expand infrastructure to provide a scorecard for energy, and regard energy as a consideration to optimize the supply chain
Rockwell Automation's green agenda method helps manufacturers manage energy in a proactive manner, Instead of using uncontrolled and passive energy management, the company's sustainable production path has been widened. Craig Resnick, director of the Research Office of arc Consulting Group, said that energy is now regarded as one of the largest strategic resources of manufacturers, not just one of their necessary expenses. It is a revolutionary way for manufacturers to manage their financial revenue by taking energy as a part of the cost of product sales rather than just a part of business operations
